A Healing Place
Chrysalis Counseling and Consultation Center is a non-profit, fee based, faith-based center which is supported by individuals, and church organizations who have a vision that high quality mental health is spiritual health and is a ministry afforded to all persons. Chrysalis is a Conference Advance Special of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. Donations from United Methodist Churches may be sent to the Conference Treasurer using the Second Mile Form. Individual donations may also be mailed to the address above. For 29 years we have offered professional faith based counseling integrating body, mind and spirit for mental and emotional distress for all persons.
Who are we?
All of our counselors are highly trained mental health professionals and many are theologically trained, ordained ministers as well. Our staff is united in the belief that healing and wholeness involves treating the body, mind, spirit and one’s relationship to community.

We develop and conduct consultation, workshops and mediation for congregational care and development.

Chrysalis consults directly with pastors and their families in multiple districts for care of self and others in order to facilitate healthy pastors serving healthy congregations. Maintaining confidentiality is our primary focus.
-
The Center trains and equips ministers and lay persons for pastoral leadership by providing a Pastoral Care Specialist Program annually.
-
The Chrysalis Samaritan Counseling Fund provides counseling funding for those who are unable to afford quality pastoral counseling because of unemployment or loss of health benefits. Contributions to this fund are tax-deductible. To make your contribution call the office manager, Ms. Peggy Johnson.
