The Blessed Table Food Pantry opened in 2004, as a cooperative ministry of eight United Methodist Churches. In conjunction with Greensboro Urban Ministry, the Blessed Table’s mission is to help feed the hungry in the community. Over 3000 bags of food are given out annually by the Blessed Table!
The Blessed Table exists entirely through donations and works solely through the efforts of volunteers. There is no paid staff. Donations of volunteer time, money, canned food, and clothing provide resources for the Blessed Table’s ministry.
The Blessed Table began a new phase to its ministry in 2008 with the opening of the clothing Thrift Shop. Anyone is welcome to shop, and money collected from clothing purchases helps to fund the ministry.
