Our Vision: Serve the People, share the Gospel, reach the community in the name of our common Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Mission: Tear down walls and build bridges of love.
"Emmanuel" UMC was a mission project initiated by the work of Frank Ramos who envisioned the Hispanic work in the Conference. Then, he decided to open a place to respond to the spiritual needs of this people in the Greensboro area. After three or four years, the Greensboro District assumed the challenge and appointed a pastor in this emerging project. Five years passed from that time; many people were contacted and received the Word of God. Through our time, we have learned about the needs of the Hispanic population, their life sytle, and the constant transition according to their work possiblilities. Hispanic ministries from there on, have been a special project. We can't use the traditional model to plant churches, under the new umbrella of Hispanic congregations. Nevertheless they need to experience the love of Jesus Christ in their lives, as well as the support of all our congregations.
