We are a family-oriented church of just under 300 members with an average Sunday Worship attendance of about 90. We are located near the downtown area of Liberty, which is a small town of about 2,700 people.
For more than a century, First UMC of Liberty has been a vital part of the town and surrounding community. Our 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm steeple chimes ring out across this small Randolph County town to remind its people that we are here to serve God and the community. The people of our church provide leadership and service through our outreach ministries to the local schools, town government, and our local association of churches.
We invite you to our Worship at 11:00 am each Sunday. You will find our people very friendly and open to meeting & greeting new folks. Our worship has a warm blend of traditional and contemporary music, which seeks to meet the needs of the whole family. Our Wesleyan worship style seeks to help God’s Word through Jesus Christ come alive and to be meaningful in our 21st century lives. We also have Sunday School that begins at 10 a.m. for all age groups.
At First UMC, there is something for everyone. We have a Children’s Church for K-5th graders meeting separately each Sunday at 11:20 am in addition to our nursery for newborns-age 4. We have a very active junior youth program (UMYF) as well as our United Methodist Men’s (UMM) and United Methodist Women’s (UMW) groups. We also sponsor scouting programs for boys and girls.
We hope you will visit with us soon. Please check out the other parts of our website to find our schedule of activities and other interesting information.
May God Bless You.

We believe that the profound call of every believer is to offer Jesus. We believe that in Christ we grow our understanding of God's amazing love and purpose for each of us, and we exist to serve and bear witness to the transforming nature of this relationship.

Established in 1850, Mizpah has been a beacon of hope and joy in the Reidsville community. We have Sunday School classes for youth and adults beginning at 9:45 every Sunday morning. We are in mission service to our community with five different mission teams allowing everyone an opportunity to serve. Our Bible Study and Fellowship Opportunities focus on encouragement and spiritual growth. Everyone is welcome to participate in all aspects of congregational life.

For over 150 years, Friendship UMC has been an integral part of the Monticello and Browns Summit community. Established as a place where believers could worship in love and harmony, our mission is “to build and sustain a Christian community where believers know, love, and serve God.” Ours is a journey of head, heart, and hands. We want to know God with our head, love God with our heart, and serve God with our hands. Our legacy is one of service to God and man, providing hope for a hurting world. Friendship is a church in transition, striving to uphold time-honored traditions while looking to strengthen our outreach through more contemporary venues providing a multi-sensory experience of worshiping the living Christ. We are a family-oriented fellowship with an eye on the future whose vision is “changing lives through Christian community and renewing the church.”
